A simple way to distinguish between the two is to turn them on simultaneously and place your hands under each light. Under a halophosphate lamp, the skin appears pale and distorted, while under a tri-phosphor lamp, the skin appears in its natural color.
Ceiling lights can be either remote-controlled or non-remote-controlled. Remote-controlled ceiling lights are convenient to operate and are especially suitable for bedrooms.
The lamp shades of ceiling lights are generally made of plastic or acrylic, while glass lamp shades are rarely used nowadays.
