   In daily life, we often focus on the appearance of lighting fixtures while overlooking their most fundamental aspects: service life and healthy lighting.

 

   Since indoor lighting cannot supply the beneficial rays contained in natural sunlight, it can significantly reduce the body's ability to absorb calcium and other nutrients. Long-term reliance on artificial lighting tends to disrupt the body's natural circadian rhythm, leading to physiological disorders such as palpitations, chest tightness and listlessness. Studies indicate that issues including dry eyes, dizziness, headaches, tension and fatigue caused by inappropriate lighting have increased noticeably worldwide. For children and adolescents, unreasonable lighting has become one of the key factors contributing to the continuous rise in myopia rates.

   

   To achieve harmony, comfort and well-being between light and space, experts have put forward the following lighting recommendations:

 

   1.Living Room Lighting   

   Living room lighting should be layered, including general ambient lighting, task lighting and accent lighting to create diverse atmospheres for different scenarios.Dining area lighting should direct focus toward the dining table, with warm-toned pendant lights featuring downward direct illumination recommended.

   2.Study Lighting   

   For general study lighting, ceiling lamps installed at the center of the room are suitable.Light sources with high color rendering index and tri-phosphor tubes that reduce eye fatigue during long hours of work are recommended.For task lighting in the study, eye-friendly and energy-efficient desk lamps are advised to fully protect eye health through quality hardware.

 

   3. Kitchen Lighting   

   First and foremost, sufficient brightness is essential, especially in work areas where there must be no shadows or glare. This ensures safety while handling knives and prevents accidental finger injuries.In addition, frequent frying, boiling and cooking in the kitchen inevitably produce oil fumes and moisture. Therefore, lighting fixtures selected should be well-sealed, easy to clean, and corrosion-resistant.

   4. Bedroom Lighting

   Experts recommend using a ceiling lamp as the main light source, supplemented by wall lamps, small spotlights, luminous light troughs or downlights as decorative or accent lighting, to reduce contrast between bright and dark areas indoors.If you have the habit of reading in bed, a dimmable desk lamp is suggested at the bedside, equipped with energy-saving lamps or cool-toned halogen lamps to avoid eye fatigue.Furthermore, the brightness of lighting should not be too dim; nor is it true that the brighter the light, the better.
