Here's how humidity affects LED lights in these environments.
Moisture ingress leads to internal condensation
Once water vapour enters the housing, temperature changes from day to night or from switching the lights on and off can cause droplets to form inside. Condensation corrodes circuit boards and oxidises contact points; in serious cases it produces short circuits. Ordinary fixtures with limited sealing are especially vulnerable.
Faster ageing of drivers and light sources
High humidity places extra stress on electronic components. Drivers that operate for long periods in damp conditions often suffer capacitor or circuit failure, resulting in flickering or sudden outages. The LED source itself also depreciates more quickly when exposed to moisture.

Gradual loss of protection performance

Prioritise fixtures with overall sealed construction. An IP65 LED tri proof light already provides solid protection for most underground parking conditions. During installation, seal every cable entry carefully so it does not become an entry point for moisture.
Linear fixtures such as a weatherproof LED light shed water more readily when used along driveways and help reduce long-term risk.
The effects of humidity accumulate. Early signs may be only slight lumen drop or occasional flicker; later they turn into widespread failures. Selecting the correct protection level, installing carefully and carrying out simple maintenance keeps the risk under control.
