The specific power of LED streetlights needs to be determined based on the specific road conditions. Light poles of different heights require different power levels. For example, a 6-meter pole uses a 30W to 60W lamp, while an 8-meter pole uses a 60W to 100W lamp. Professional LED streetlight manufacturers will provide a standard solution after surveying road conditions.

The theoretical lifespan of LED light sources is very long, but the overall lifespan of a lamp is not simply the lifespan of the light source; it also includes the driver and lens. Therefore, the ultimate lifespan of a streetlight should be determined by the shortest-lived component among all the lamp components. Currently, well-made domestic drivers and lenses made of silicon material can achieve a lifespan of 50,000 hours.

As for energy conservation, let's take a 120W LED lamp as an example, replacing a 250W high-pressure sodium lamp. The actual power of the high-pressure sodium lamp needs to be multiplied by the ballast factor. Calculated at 1.17, the actual power is 292.5W. The entire lamp circuit also has reactive power losses, line losses, transformer losses, and other factors, which we will not include here; we will only use the theoretical lower values for comparison. The total power of an LED lamp is calculated as the light source power plus power loss. Currently, leading LED manufacturers can achieve a driver efficiency of around 97%, making this loss negligible. For example, if 100 street lamps are lit for 12 hours, the daily power consumption of a high-pressure sodium lamp is 292.5 * 100 / 1000 * 12 = 351 kWh. The daily power consumption of an LED is 120 * 100 / 1000 * 12 = 144 kWh. If you factor in the intelligent dimming of LED street lamps, the overall energy savings reach at least 70%.

In general, LED street lights are brighter than traditional high-pressure sodium lamps of the same power. When configuring LED light sources, don't rely on outdated assumptions. They also use less electricity and energy than high-pressure sodium lamps, although they are currently more expensive.
