Why Is The Safety Of LED Lamps Not To Be Overlooked?

LED lamp, since the date of birth, is to replace and beyond the traditional fluorescent tubes.

LED Lamp technology progress and product development follow two main tracks: one is copy, in the wiring, shape size, surface materials and so on as far as possible and fluorescent tube consistent, mainly in order to make full use of existing lighting and user habits, the other is beyond, from the light effect, environmental protection, controllable and other characteristics of the total beyond fluorescent tubes. Up to now, LED lamps are LED lighting products in the development of one of the most successful products.

According to incomplete statistics, the annual China led market sales in more than 100 million, and China led lamps exported to the United States, Europe, Asia. In our country LED lamp industry boom development at the same time, the safety of LED lamp tube becomes short board.

In the long run, it may become an important factor to endanger its development. Compared with the safety requirements of fluorescent tubes, both types of lamps serve the lighting, so the safety requirements of LED lamps are based on the safety requirements of fluorescent tubes.

But the LED lamp, in the technical and the application aspect has its particularity, therefore merely copies the fluorescent lamp tube safety request is not enough. At present, the lighting industry has reached a consensus on the safety requirements of fluorescent tubes, but the safety problems caused by the special LED lamps have been neglected.

This neglect to the vast number of consumers buried next to a person involved in the safety of landmines, can detonate at any time! China's national mandatory safety standard for fluorescent lamps for general lighting is: "GB 18774-2002 double-end fluorescent lamp safety Requirements", equivalent to the use of IEC 61195, that is, and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards in full agreement.

In the 2nd chapter of GB 18774-2012, the security requirements are listed in detail, with a total of 11 items:

-logo

-Mechanical

-Insulation resistance

-Dielectric strength

-Accidentally charged parts

-Heat and fire

-Creepage Distance

-Lamp holder temperature rise

-The minimum total length of the lamp

-Lighting Design Parameters

-Ballast Design parameters The main mechanical and electrical safety provisions, of which the requirements for electrical safety accounted for 4 (insulation resistance, dielectric strength, accidentally charged parts, creepage distance).

This request seems to be perfect, but ... Because the light-emitting principle of LED lamp and fluorescent lamp is completely different: LED lamp is essentially through the LED Light-emitting diode through the circuit hardware connection can glow, and fluorescent light is the principle of gas luminescence, fluorescent lights in the absence of full access to the circuit, the ends are insulated; only when fully connected to the circuit,

When the circuit begins to work and the gas inside the fluorescent lamp penetrates, the two ends of the lamp will generate power.

This safety requirement is referred to in the standard IEC 62776 of the authoritative International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) as: pin-safety during insertion (safety of lamp pins when inserting).

Standard-setting As an electrical product, the safety of products, especially the safety associated with personal shock is important.

In recent years, the international standard and some countries have drawn up on the LED lamp safety standards, the following is not complete statistics:

-International Electrotechnical Commission: ·

IEC 62776-2014 double-capped LED lamps designed to retrofit linear fluorescent-lampssafety ·

IEC 62776-1 Safety Standard for double-capped G5/G13 integrated LED lamps to is used in Luminaire without (draft)

-Europe: EN 627762015, consistent with IEC 62776-2014;

-United States: UL 935 Ed 10.1-2014

-Australia/New Zealand: AS/NZS 60598.2.1 Appendix A;

-Malaysia: MS IEC 62776, full use of IEC 62776;

-India: Is 16102:part 1, refer to IEC 62776 & IEC 62776-1 (draft); -Taiwan: CNS 15829-2015, reference to IEC 62776;

CNS15983-2017, refer to IEC 62776-1 (draft) These standards from different angles to the LED lamp products inserted in the safety of the lamp pins are required, the main way of evaluation is: the current can not exceed a limit by the connection of the other end and the standard analog human circuit (HBM) by the end of the LED lamp to be tested.

If this limit is exceeded, it may cause direct or indirect damage to the human body! Although the occurrence of the electric shock hazard is a certain probability, but the human life is priceless, is not divided into countries or regions.
