The main differences between three-proof lamps and explosion-proof lamps are their design purpose, applicable environment, performance requirements and structural characteristics.

1.Design purpose and applicable environment: Three-proof lamps (waterproof, dustproof, anti-corrosion) are mainly used in general industrial environments, such as construction sites, docks, ships, etc., which can resist the incursion of water, dust and corrosive substances and ensure the normal operation of lighting equipment. Explosion-proof lamps are specially designed for use in flammable and explosive environments, such as petroleum, chemical, coal mining and other industries, as well as some places with explosion hazards, aiming to prevent arcs, sparks and high temperatures that may be generated inside the lamps from igniting combustible gas and dust in the surrounding environment, so as to meet explosion-proof requirements.

2.Performance requirements: Three-proof lamps need to have waterproof, dustproof and anti-corrosion properties to adapt to harsh working conditions. In addition to the basic functions of waterproof and dustproof, explosion-proof lamps must also have explosion-proof performance, that is, no sparks, arcs and high temperatures to ensure safe use in flammable and explosive environments.

3.Structural features: The shell of the three-proof lamp needs to be sealed to prevent dust and water vapor from entering the lamp. The shell of the explosion-proof lamp is made of high-strength materials, such as aluminum alloy or stainless steel, to cope with the shock wave and pressure wave generated by the explosion, and the glass cover of the lamp also needs to be specially designed to prevent it from falling and injuring people after breaking.

4.Price difference: Because the structure of explosion-proof lamps is more complex, the production cost is relatively high, so the price is also relatively high. The three-proof lamp is relatively low in price due to its relatively simple structure.

When choosing a lamp that matches the needs, it is necessary to consider factors such as the use environment, performance requirements, and structural characteristics. If there is a risk of explosion in the working environment, then explosion-proof lights are preferred; If the working environment is mainly the intrusion of water, dust and corrosive substances, then the three-proof lamp is a better choice
