LED ceiling light uses LED as the light source. It is installed inside the room. Because the upper part of the lamp is relatively flat and installed close to the roof, it is like being adsorbed on the roof, so it is called LED ceiling lamp.
1. Ordinary ceiling lamp
Although there are many kinds of shapes of ordinary ceiling lamps, the most common ones are round or square, and the more complex ones are all kinds of strange crystal ceiling lamps:
Most of its lamp tubes are bent T5 fluorescent lamps, with a wide variety of specifications, mainly the following types.
The most commonly used powers are 10W, 16W, 21W, 28W, 32W, 38W, 40W, etc.
2. Problems and disadvantages of ordinary ceiling lamps
The whole light effect of energy-saving lamps with ballast is only 55lm/W, and the highest high-power U-type is only 80lm/W. And because all these ceiling lamps mostly use T5 lamp tubes, bent into various shapes. But no matter what shape it is bent into, it emits light at 360 degrees, and the 180-degree upward light must be reflected back to become useful light, and this reflection process will lose a lot of light. Therefore, the light effect after being made into a lamp must be discounted by at least 70%. That is, the above light effect must be multiplied by 0.7. Moreover, in actual use, its brightness decays quickly over time. For example, a Philips 32W circular T5 tri-color lamp YH32RR16 has a color temperature of 6500ºK, a luminous efficiency of 67lm/W, and a total lumen of 2150lm. In fact, only 70% of the light can be used. That is, only 1500lm.
Mercury has a very low boiling point and can evaporate at room temperature. When a discarded fluorescent lamp is broken, it will immediately emit mercury vapor to the surrounding area, which can instantly make the mercury concentration in the surrounding air reach 10-20 mg/m3, which is 1000 to 2000 times higher than the maximum allowable concentration of mercury in the air stipulated by the state (0.01 mg/m3). If a human body inhales 2.5 grams of mercury vapor at a time, it will be life-threatening. Moreover, the permeability of liquid mercury is extremely high. After falling into the ground, it will immediately seep into the ground and pollute groundwater. 1 mg of mercury is enough to pollute 5454.5 kg of drinking water, making it unsafe for drinking. Now we are desperately promoting energy-saving lamps, which is actually an irresponsible practice for our descendants.
Energy-saving lamps are divided into mixed powder, halogen powder, and three-primary color according to the fluorescent powder. The life of halogen powder is 3000-4000 hours; the life of mixed powder is 4000-6000 hours; the life of three-primary color is said to be more than 8000 hours.
Most of the ballasts used in fluorescent lamps cannot provide enough power. For example, the author measured that the output power of a 32W fluorescent lamp used in the ballast is only 16W, which is only 50% of the rated power. Moreover, the short life of all fluorescent lamps is mainly due to the short life of the ballast, and once the fluorescent lamp is damaged, the ballast is usually damaged as well. Almost everyone's experience is that the ballast or lamp tube should be replaced once a year, and most of the time it is less than a year, and both need to be replaced.
The price of general ceiling lamps ranges from tens to hundreds of yuan. Foreign brands of ceiling lamps cost more than 600 yuan. As for some ceiling lamps with crystal decorations, the price is as high as thousands of yuan, and the light source is only a 40W special-shaped fluorescent lamp at most. So ceiling lamps are not as cheap as ordinary energy-saving lamps.
3. Advantages of LED ceiling lamps
The luminous efficiency of LED itself has reached more than 130lm/W, so the overall luminous efficiency of LED ceiling lamps can reach 100lm/W. And this efficiency is still increasing every year. It is estimated that by 2020, the luminous efficiency of LED itself will reach 240lm/W. High luminous efficiency means energy saving. According to the actual test results, an 8W LED can replace a 32W ceiling lamp. The power can be saved by more than 4 times.
The life of LED is 100,000 hours. After being made into lamps, the generally recognized life is at least 30,000 hours. High-quality ones can reach 50,000 hours, which is more than 10 times longer than fluorescent lamps. Even if the life of the highest-life tri-color fluorescent lamp is 10,000 hours, it is still more than 5 times higher.
