      When choosing an LED floodlight, many people start by asking, "How many watts do I need?" But in fact, the right wattage depends on three key factors: brightness (lumens), efficacy (efficiency), and beam angle. Today, let's focus on the first and most important one, brightness, because how bright your light needs to be directly determines what wattage is suitable.

      In the past, higher wattage meant brighter light. But with modern LEDs, that is no longer true. Watts indicate how much energy a light consumes, while lumens measure how much light it actually produces. For example, a 100W high-quality LED floodlight with an efficacy of 130 lm/W can be brighter than a 150W low-efficiency one with only 80 lm/W.
