Housing and Structural Components: Where Ingress Protection Really Shows

      Housings are typically made from die-cast aluminum alloy or stainless steel, balancing structural strength with corrosion resistance, while plastic housings are more common in lower-wattage or budget-conscious projects. The housing design needs to meet a certain ingress protection (IP) rating - IP65 or IP66 - to withstand outdoor conditions like sun exposure, rain, and salt spray. This is especially important for coastal regions and high-humidity, high-salinity environments, where anti-corrosion treatments such as powder coating and anodizing become essential. Electronic Components and Cables/Connectors: Reliability Is in the Details
