2. Fit the base: Using an electric drill, drill holes at the predetermined positions and insert expansion bolts to secure the base. Ensure that the diameter of the holes and the embedding depth match the specifications of the bolts to guarantee the base is secure. Fix the base to the wall.
3. Connect the wires: Before connecting the wires, ensure the power supply is switched off to avoid the risk of electric shock. Following the principle of colour-coding (live wire to live wire, neutral wire to neutral wire), connect the ceiling light's wires to the mains supply and wrap any exposed sections with insulating tape to ensure safety.
4. Fitting the lampshade: Align the ceiling light's lampshade with the grooves on the base and press down gently until the lampshade is fully secured.
5. Testing: Switch on the power supply to check that the ceiling light illuminates correctly. If there are any abnormalities, switch off the power immediately and investigate the cause.

1. Switch off the power: Before dismantling the ceiling light, ensure the power switch is turned off to ensure safety.
2. Remove the lampshade: Check the edge of the lampshade for small arrows or latches; gently press down or flick the latches to remove the lampshade from the base.
3. Disconnect the wires: Use a screwdriver or similar tool to disconnect the ceiling light's wires from the mains supply.
4. Remove the base plate: For recessed ceiling lights, the base plate is usually secured to the ceiling by clips; simply pull the base plate down. For other types of ceiling lights, you may need to unscrew the screws securing the base plate before removing it.
